Mother of Seven, Alena Maze, Is the First Black Person in The World to Hold a Ph.D. In Survey Methodology

 At the age of 35, Alena Maze became the first Black person in the world to earn a PhD. in Research Methodology. She is the mother of seven children and is a popular Youtuber who regularly posts about her family life. Previously she graduated with a Master of Science Degree in Mathematics from the University of Georgetown. Maze stated that her love of Science and Health motivated her to study Research Methodology, which studies the mathematics behind polls. Maze commented that she aims to make research surveys more inclusive, which she has criticised for focusing on primarily white populations. Her goal is to inspire more Black women to achieve the highest education in their chosen field.
