Tanzania Covid-19 expert committee formed, says President Suluhu

 President Samia Suluhu Hassan announced that she has established a committee of experts to assess and recommend approaches to tackle the Covid-19 pandemic in Tanzania. She stated that in the near future she will consult representatives and members of the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Finance and Planning regarding this subject. She has advised Tanzanian religious leaders to urge the public to follow social distancing guidelines, wear face masks and utilize sanitisers. At a conference in Dodoma, the President commented that the virus was evolving and new variants of the Covid virus were being reported around the world.
